We opened South Shore Golf for one reason: to help golfers get more enjoyment out of the game.

We play golf, we watch golf and we talk golf. Come try the new equipment before you commit to it, get on the simulator in February, take a lesson on a Tuesday night, or just stop in and talk golf for twenty minutes. Plenty of people do, and we’ve never minded.

South Shore Golf runs PGA Junior League Golf, a team format that gets kids playing together instead of grinding alone on a range.

It’s a fun, social way for young golfers to learn the game, build confidence and make friends. We also offer junior lessons and junior club fitting, so kids play clubs that fit them as they grow.

Where is South Shore Golf Store located?

South Shore Golf Store is at 4106 Sunrise Highway, Oakdale, NY 11769, on the south service road of Sunrise Highway in Oakdale, Long Island. It serves golfers across Suffolk and Nassau County, including Sayville, Bayport, Bohemia, Great River, West Sayville, Islip and Patchogue.

What are South Shore Golf Store’s hours?

The shop is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm, Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday from 10am to 3pm. Fittings, lessons and simulator sessions are by appointment, so call (631) 563-2025 to reserve the bay.

How much does a golf club fitting cost?

It depends on how much of the bag you’re fitting: a single club, an iron set or a full bag. Call (631) 563-2025 for current fitting rates, and ask how the fitting fee is applied if you buy clubs.

Do I need an appointment for a fitting or lesson?

Yes. Fittings, lessons and simulator rentals are by appointment because each uses the Foresight Falcon bay. You can book online or call. Shopping the floor, buying golf balls or dropping off clubs for re-gripping never needs an appointment.

What launch monitor does South Shore Golf use?

We fit and teach on a Foresight Falcon launch monitor. It measures club delivery and ball flight, so you see carry distance, dispersion, spin and strike location on screen instead of guessing from range balls.

How long does re-gripping take?

Most re-grips are done in-store while you wait or the same day, depending on how busy the bench is. We stock Super Stroke, JumboMax, Golf Pride, Winn and Lamkin grips, and also handle re-shafting, loft and lie adjustments and general repair.

Can I rent the golf simulator?

Yes. The Foresight Falcon simulator rents by the hour, which is how many Long Island golfers keep their swing through the winter. Call ahead, especially for weekends and after work.

Does South Shore Golf offer junior golf programs?

Yes. We run PGA Junior League Golf, a team format with jerseys and teammates. Junior lessons and junior club fitting are also available.

What golf club brands do you carry?

We carry and fit Srixon, Mizuno, Callaway, Titleist, TaylorMade and Ping, plus Bridgestone balls, Sun Mountain bags and grips from Super Stroke, JumboMax and Golf Pride. Our staff are certified fitters for Srixon, Mizuno and Callaway.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes. South Shore Golf gift cards can be used for equipment, fittings, lessons or simulator time. You can buy them online or in the shop.
